This week we try the Original Legendary Burger at The Hard Rock Cafe in Universal Studios Orlando. A classic American take from a unique restaurant.
That's right its time for Florida Food Fridays at Compare Orlando where we take a look at the best way to eat your way around Orlando! If you missed last FFF's Chocolate Banana Creme Brulee at Kona Kafe you can take a peek at the link at the bottom of the page.
All American Burger
Burgers are about as American as you can get and this is no exception. A generous half pounder of certified Angus Beed (A firm favourite in america) is perfectly prepared for a base of this legendary burger. Juicy, thick and tasty this will be one of the best burger pattys you will be able to find in Orlando.
The toppings of this burger are fantastic too, crisp lettuce, vine ripened tomatoes, smoked streaky bacon, cheddar cheese and to finish it off a crispy sweet and savoury onion ring. This burger really has something for everyone without having any toppings that fussier eaters may call 'fancy'.
The presentation is something else too with what looks like a flick knife stuck through the centre of the burger. Very Rock and Roll!
With all the focus on the burger you could be forgiven for forgetting about the fries, golden, crispy and perfectly seasoned they make a great side for this legendary burger.
Hard Rock Cafe
If you've never heard of the Hard Rock cafe, it is basically a restaurant that devotes itself to all things Rock and Roll. Started in the 70s they have slowly rolled out new restaurants and currently have 168 cafes world wide. In Orlando Universal Studios is the home of Hard Rock with both a hotel and a restaurant. The Cafe is based on a little known walkway between Islands of Adventure and Universal Studios' main park. This makes it really easy to get to as you're leaving the parks, just turn left from islands of Adventure or turn right from Universal Studios.
The theme of Hard Rock is fully committed to with rare and fantastic memorabilia littering not only the walls but the ceiling too, make sure you allow for some time to roam after your meal. Any Rock fans in the family will surely find something they will have never expected to see.
Service is always quick, accurate and helpful absolutely no complaints in that department. Evenings can get busy so reservations are advised but at lunch you will easily get a table.
