Weekly Focus: Sea World Spooktacular

Welcome to this week's Weekly Focus looking at the Sea World Spooktacular event. Spooktacular is Sea World's annual Halloween festival that runs daily between 1st-30th October from 12pm to park close and is included with regular park admission. The daytime festivities feature a plethora of activities for families even including live animal encounters in an under the sea themed Halloween celebration.

Trick-or-Treating

As is common with most of the Halloween offerings at the Orlando theme parks and attractions, trick or treat opportunities are available for guests to experience. Be sure to check out the park map for the trick or treat pathways and routes that you can take to make the most of the trick or treat stations around the park!

Dance Parties

The Spooktacular event features two dance parties for younger guests at various times throughout the day. Be sure to check your park map and times of the events for Penelope's Garden Party and the Spooktacular Dance Party so as not to miss them. As well as the usual dance party experiences, there are also arts and crafts offerings and live animal encounters at these events so even if your family aren't into dancing it may be worth checking these out!

Sesame Street's Countdown to Halloween

The Sesame Street Countdown to Halloween show takes place in the Seaport Theatre (where Pet's Ahoy also takes place) and features favourite characters such as Elmo and The Count. The Count is feeling lonely this Halloween, and it’s up to you and other characters from Sesame Street to get him into the Halloween spirit.  The stage show is great fun for the whole family and can be a great place to cool down if you're visiting on a hot day. Be sure to check your park map and times guide for the performance times.

Additional Cost Encounters

Sea World Spooktacular also offer some additional cost experiences which can be booked in advance. The first is a mermaid encounter where your family can meet some of Sea World's mystical mermaids. There are three packages available each including various photography options and extras ranging between $29 and $49 per child. The second encounter is with the Cookie Monster which for $19 per person includes photography and a cookie to enjoy with the Cookie Monster himself!

We hope that we have given you some planning inspiration if you are visiting for Halloween and are planning a visit to Sea World Spooktacular. Next week we will continue looking at the Halloween offerings in the theme parks with Universal Orlando's Halloween Horror Nights - not for the faint hearted!
